The Mars Ray
The mars ray helps us to feel more grounded and at home in our physical bodies. It brings courage and strength; it lessens our worries and fears of what might be and helps us be more present in the now. It helps us feel safer in the face of aggression and is great for those who have a weak constitution. The Ascended Master El Moyra oversees this Ray.
The Base Chakra
The Mars Ray works to open and activate the base chakra to enable us to be fully grounded in our physical presence here on earth, enlivening our physical bodies and connecting us with the power and protection of Mother Earth.
When the base chakra is fully open and activated, we have more physical energy and we feel more comfortable in our physical body because we are more connected to the energy of mother earth. Her energy, love and protection is able to reach us more easily through an open base chakra.
The feeling of greater physical safety has a stabilizing effect on the emotions and brings inner courage, helps with decision making, and helps maintain focus and strength of purpose. It is great for those who carry much fear and anxiety, or for those who have a lack of enthusiasm for life or who suffer from depression.
The Mars Ray carries the power, strength and courage we associate with the great warlords of old. When this fearless strength is used for the good of humankind, enormous progress can be made in civilization. This power and strength is there in all of us when we activate and energise our base chakra.
Kundalini
In working on the base chakra, the Mars ray is also helping to activate the kundalini energy to rise up the spine. As our kundalini energy moves up our spine, it activates and awakens all our other chakras bringing spiritual awareness. As it moves up through the chakras it is instrumental in helping to release fears and blockages.
Spleen Energy
The mars ray also works on the spleen, which is located on the left side, beneath the lower ribs. In traditional Chinese medicine, the spleen, stomach and pancreas are the digestive organs associated with the earth element. On a physical level they help digest our food and just as on an emotional level they are responsible for digesting our life on an emotional level. The emotion associated with the spleen is worry. Too much pensiveness, worry and insecurity can weaken the spleen and our energy in general. The mars ray works on the spleen and opens the base chakra so that we are properly grounded to the energy of Mother Earth and can receive her Love, energy and protection.
Opens the Heart Chakra
The base chakra has a strong connection with the heart chakra as feeling safe in our physical presence here on earth helps us to open to the love that comes through our heart chakra. Some people feel this ray working directly on the physical heart, strengthening and stabilizing it, and it is said to strengthen the blood. This energy is red when you see it clairvoyantly symbolizing its connection to the heart and the blood, and to the base chakra which when open radiates the red colour into one’s aura.
How I Experience the Mars Ray
The Mars Ray feels to me like a focused ray of energy that comes from above me on my left side, coming through my aura to my base chakra and spleen area. The symbol used to amplify this ray reminds me of the ray of energy I feel coming to my left when grounding this ray.
When this energy is coming through me, I feel a buzzing feeling in the soles of my feet as the energy is travelling down through my feet towards the earth to ground and stabilize me. It opens the chakras on my feet as it does so, and there is a similar effect in my hands.
In meditation this energy brings a silence to my mind which I love. When I have been working with it a lot I feel a deep silence around me, especially outside. I have a strong logical mind, and a tendency to worry, so this ray brings me a great feeling of calm. It makes me feel safe and my mind goes silent.
There is a stillness to this Ray because of this, as when I am filled with this ray, I no longer feel the need to rush around to make things ok, as I feel connected to the knowing that all is well.
When I worry, I often feel a feeling of fear coming from my spleen area. In traditional Chinese Medicine the spleen energy is connected to our worry and over thinking. This ray completely calms my spleen area and releases me from worry so I can feel my higher truth.
