In the early part of the 20th century a deeply spiritual man by the name of Mikao Usui, spent many hours in the mountains of Japan, meditating deeply and connecting with the energy of the mountains around him.
He felt the immense healing power of Mother Earth and the natural world around him.
As he had a deep desire to help his fellow humankind, his Spirit showed him how he could use an initiation process to help others connect with this energy for their own inner healing.
He initiated others into this healing energy; the energy we now call Reiki healing.

The Healing Effects of Reiki
Reiki healing carries the life-force energy of creation in our universe; the creation of matter. In the beginning of time, it was this energy that created the substance of our earth, her animals, vegetation and our human bodies.
Since this is the energy that created our bodies in their original pristine form, it is easy to see how this profound energy is able to nurture, cleanse and rejuvenate our energies on all levels of our being.
Calming & Stabilising
When we connect with this energy of physical creation, it feels deeply nurturing to us. It gives us a feeling of physical safety and calm, and a deep peacefulness. We feel safe, warm and ‘held’ in this energy so we can slow down and enjoy the present moment of life.
Feeling safe and held in this way helps to stabilize the emotions, bringing calm and balance at difficult times.
At easier times it can take us deeply within to the place of peace that resides in our heart centre. It helps us feel more connected with God/Great Spirit.
Cleansing & Rejuvenating
Reiki cleanses and energises the ‘etheric body’. This is the subtle energy body that carries the energetic blueprint of the physical body. As the etheric body is cleansed and strengthened, it supports physical wellbeing in the body.
Grounding and Calming
The Reiki Ray opens the base and feet chakras and strengthens your energetic connection to Mother Earth. This connection to Mother Earth helps to stabilise the emotions and helps you feel grounded and present in your physical body.

The Reiki Ray helps to open the heart to help you connect with yourself on a spiritual level.
As the energy clears away fear from your energy system, you will naturally experience more of your Soul energy, as it is only fear that stands between you and experiencing more of your spiritual nature.
