The Origins of Reiki & Eternal Light Healing
The use of subtle energies for healing is not new to humankind. Since ancient times, great Spiritual Masters have been able to transmit spiritual healing energy through their hands and their being.
However, truly this could only be done by a very few, whose heart chakras were unusually open, and their intentions very pure.
The Gift of Reiki
But in the early part of the 20th century, a great gift was given to humanity by Spirit, which allowed many more people to access healing energies for their own spiritual growth and healing.
This gift came through Mikao Usui whose Reiki initiations or attunements allowed a wider range of people to access these subtle healing energies.
Mikao Usui
This gift came through a man named Mikao Usui. He incarnated in Japan and was a deeply spiritual man, a ‘Master of Spiritual Energies’, with a profound and pure connection to Spirit. He spent many hours in the mountains, in meditative connection with his Spiritual energy.
The Emergence of Reiki
Deep within his Soul he found he could feel the Universal Life Force, the creative force that created the matter of the earth, and he could feel the healing power it held. This was the energy we now call Reiki.
He had a deep desire to help his fellow humanity and wished to find a way to help others access this energy for their own healing.
He had incarnated in Japan where the concept of energy initiations and attunements was generally acknowledged as it had been part of Buddhist practice for thousands of years. So, he was shown, through his Spirit, how to use an ‘initiation’ or ‘attunement’ to confer the ability to channel this healing energy to others.
Reiki Spreads around the World
In the early part of the 20th century, Usui began teaching his students in Japan who undertook his Reiki initiation. At this time there was a concurrent opening of consciousness to healing and spiritual understanding happening in the West.
Mrs Takata was the student of Usui who was instrumental in bringing Reiki to the West. Before the second world war, many groups came together to send healing to calm what was happening at that time. After the war, Mrs Takata popularised Reiki more widely.
Though his use of initiations to allow others to access this energy, Mikao Usui has been instrumental in bringing the memory of channeling healing energy back to humankind.
The Need for Higher Frequency Healing Energy
As time went on after Reiki was first introduced, the vibrational level of humanity had risen so much that there became a need for higher frequency energies to match our greater spiritual awareness.
We needed new healing energies to meet our ability to work at a deeper level of our consciousness.
A new spiritual consciousness was emerging and we needed deeper energies to take us forward.
As Mrs Takata did not leave a direct successor, the direct lineage from Usui was lost. This was the way it was meant to be as it allowed other forms of healing to emerge to take us forward.
Powerful Healing Energy for the New Age
In the mid 1990s to early 2000s twelve ‘Beings of Light’ stepped forward from Spirit offering us new rays of healing that go far beyond Reiki, working on more aspects of our being and to a more profound level.
These rays became known as the Eternal Light Healing system.
They are still one of the most pure and high frequency forms of channelled healing available today as they work on all dimensions of our being, to clear away karmic energies and bring spiritual reconnection. They balance the subtle energy fields and awaken us to our spiritual nature.
A Master of Healing Energies
These new energies were brought through by Shimara Kumara, a ‘Master of Subtle Energies’, who could ground these new healing energies by virtue of her incredible connection to Spirit and her purity of intention.
She founded the ‘Golden Age Reiki’ and the ‘Academy of Eternal Light Healing’ and is an international healer, teacher and author.
