Get the most from your Healing Session

Tips on how to work with healing energy

The following are some ideas to help you get the most from your healing session. You will find your own way to do it however and these are just ideas that others have shared, so just relax and let go. 

Go with it. Feel the energy.  You may feel the energy working in different ways on you, such as heat, tingling or gurgling. 

Brain rhythms. The brain rhythms change as  it gently washes over you. It feels a bit  like falling asleep only you are completely present,

If your mind is very busy, just remember it’s ok, you are still receiving the energy and it will be working to quieten the mind.

Sometimes our minds don’t let go so easily, look to see if there is something that’s bothering you, if you feel upset about anything. Busy thoughts often hide our deeper emotions or complex feelings.

Helpful to avoid stimulants in run up. Things like coffee, black tea, green tea and chocolate contain caffeine which triggers overthinking in the brain and lack of calm in the physical body. In this way it takes us away from ourselves a little.

Using intention. Use your intention to go into the feelings underneath the situations that trouble you. How does it make you feel? What are the feelings that are being triggered ?

Allow yourself to sink into those emotions. The healing energy will release emotional patterns for you which may well come into your awareness. See if you can let yourself go into them and feel them, even the difficult ones.

The more you go into it the quicker it will resolve. Sometimes you have to allow yourself to feel the pain or the upset for it to resolve.

The emotions get stuck in us because they are difficult to feel, acknowledge and accept, but we have to do before they will dissolve in us. It is natural to find this difficult as they are painful. Healing helps release them in a gentle and safe feeling way, and your higher self is always there to make sure this is happening in a way that is appropriate for you.

Your body is a gateway. The body can be a gateway into your deeper self, so going deeply into your body can connect you with how you feel emotionally. Notice any sensations you have, allow yourself to feel how you feel in that moment, feel the physical sensations, and while you do this feel into whether there are emotions you have in connection to them.

You may wish to share. During the healing you may wish to share what is going on for you or you may wish to go with it inside. Both are fine. Sometimes it is helpful for you to express it verbally as it takes you deeper to that place, brings further awareness to it, or sometimes to verbalise it will take you into your mind/thoughts and you will prefer to just go with the feelings. Everyone is different and each situation is different. There will be an opportunity to talk about what is happening for you after the session,

Healing gives a higher perspective Sometimes to heal we need a shift in consciousness, in other words we need to see from a higher perspective. The healing gives you an opportunity to connect with your higher self and see/feel a higher perspective.

Issues need to come into our awareness acutely sometimes in order for us to learn to see the issue from a higher perspective. We grow and learn from this.

When patterns repeat in our lives, our higher self, inner being, spirit is pulling us towards a higher understanding. When we reach it we feel so much better in our lives and many other things that seem unrelated can untwist for us. This is the spiritual journey of life.

Accepting whatever happens in the session is key, allowing yourself to really feel what you feel.

Thoughts = resistance to feeling something, allow feelings to emerge from under thoughts

Use intention and love /acceptance to whatever emerges.

Try to avoid stimulants in run up to a session, or in life generally!
